Personally I change all the fuel hoses, or at least inspect them.

Hoses in the the fuel tank can fall apart over time especially if left sitting in fuel, i suck out most of the fuel after a ride to leave a semi dry tank. The position of the fuel pump as well, if its at the front it will never pick it all up, if its at the back no problems.
If your lucky the fuel injection will be ok, if not below 5-6rpm it will be almost unrideable above that it clears and goes wonderfully. I used a power commander for a 1998 GSXR750 and the dyno technician spliced it in.
Oil filler cap can be fiddly to get too as well so i ground down a hex head to fit, another member suggested to use the breather hose to fill up. |
