I would need to check, but the tail light seems similar to that used on the early Aprilia RS125. And a few other Aprilia. From memory possibly the early BMW F650 as well

All the best

Katy

Nice thread, and good reference to Scorpio by GeeKay.

Something I've been trying to get a conclusive answer on ever since I own my SB6R (2009): is it correct that the clocks are not illuminated, only the display is? It's a real pain when riding in the dark, with speed camera's and all that...

Info I obtained so far is that this is indeed the case, even though there are what appear to be sockets in the bottom of the clocks.

Can somebody give the final verdict on this?
Thanks.

The Clocks ARE illuminated on my clockset. ('98 SB6R #16)

Both analog dial gauges are back-lit with a reddish/orange hue...

Thanks for replying. Wonder what's wrong with mine then.
I had the clocks off and found they were mounted wrongly (cable harness between housing and mounting plate (...)), but I found no signs of damage or anything.

I do have some electrical gremlins, though.
Sometimes the revcounter drops to zero and returns to normal operation the same second.
It also drops to zero after (yes, a sec or two after) I press and release the horn, and comes back.

No real issue, so I haven't dug into it, but the lack of illumination on the clocks is annoying. Someone who had a spare set put 12V on it and he claimed no illumination either. That was a year after I bought the bike.
