That's the bike I showed you Brian
I tried to buy the complete bike at auction and just missed out time wise. I'm still crying about it.
It was a beautiful SB6SR. A special edition bike made in Japan that had:
Marchesini wheels
AP 6 spot brakes
320mm thin CI front rotors
Radial master cylinders
Ti pipe
41mm FCR flat slides
Fancy radiator
Alcantera seat covers
Ohlins rear shock
Gold coated fork tubes
I'll bet the engine was something special. All the rest of the bike was modified to the best so its likely the engine was as well.
How much did it sell for at auction? Less than 4000 GBP! And the deadshit who bought it put on Yahoo auctions in pieces after a couple of days. What a waste of a beautiful machine. Shall we all cry together? |

I thought it must have been Bud. It’s a real shame that it’s been broken for parts. Some people see dollar signs where I see motorcycle art _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

I guess it's torn the steering damper mount out of the frame, hence the repair. |

Steering damper is on the R/H frame rail on the SB6. The 6R has it on the left though _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

There's no mount on the Right hand side.... Didn't the SB7 have a left side damper mount? It is a very early frame number I think... |

As far as I know SB7 is the same frame as SB6, this is also evident in that the SB6 and SB7 frame numbers are in the same mix. SB6R is a different frame and has the damper on the LH side _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |
