There's no mount on the Right hand side.... Didn't the SB7 have a left side damper mount? It is a very early frame number I think... |
In one of the photos in the yahoo link you can see a threaded tab welded to the bottom of the RH frame spar _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

The damper shares the top fairing mount - I took mine off. _________________ Don't read everything you believe |

Probably but magnesium is not really for the roads and not the best material for longevity . Remember the Robert Dunlop TT crash ??
Rang Cresent (Marchesini UK importer) a good few years ago when I was looking to get some lighter wheels. They said they would not sell me magnesium wheels if they knew they were for the road as race track only. They also told me that over half of the wheels sent back by the big race teams after 12mths for checks failed the crack test and were destroyed , so never buy mag wheels off ebay etc.
OK they want to sell new wheels but he would only sell forged alloy for the road.
Do with this info what you wish , but 20yr old mag wheels are not on my list of upgrades. |
