My original exhaust had a join between the muffler and the header making it a lot easier to remove and replace, the mufflers where Staintune.

Are they the original Bimota mufflers? Did the factory exhaust have a join between the muffler and header? I've got to admit I've never looked.

The person who did the coating. Nice guy to deal with. He had them done very quickly but I was in no rush to get them. About $280 CDN

These exhausts are the "kit" ones. Carbs, cams and exhausts.

The originals are hanging in my crawlspace and they too are one piece from the header to the muffler. Looking at the inside of the kit exhausts near the start of the muffler. It appears a hammer was used to provide clearance to the frame/swingarm.

I'm surprised it scratches easily. Isn't ceramic meant to mean a hard coating? Properly applied paint doesn't even scratch too easily.
