I own SB6R Nr. 275 for 9 years, live in Switzerland but I am new in this forum (hello everybody). Over time I made many small modification but kept the look original.

Main changes:
chain: replace 532 by more common 530
damping front : wilbers progressiv spring
damping rear: change spring rate to 105Nm/mm (I am 74 kg)
fuel pump: replace vacuum pump by electrical pump placed in airbox
air filter: replace sponge by BMC type cotton filter
Electrical: installed relay for lights and main key switch
Front brakes: replaced disc flowters (that do not make noise)
Head light: from yamaha fr1000 with H4 led ligh
Raiser (30mm) clip-ons from LSL
Moved trip "meter zero-setter" bottom in the middle to the left side to make place for navi

What are your mods?

Hi Ulrich
welcome to the forum.
I have owned my SB6R for 19 months but have not made any modifications. I have changed all the wheel bearings, the swing arm bearings and fitted new sprockets and chain (original sizes).
I think the best modification to make to a SB6R is to replace the Antera wheels - but with what? Carbon fibre wheels are nice and light but too expensive. I was looking at OZ wheels that are fitted to certain Aprilia bikes as replacements.

Hi there.
Yes replace the wheels. The carbon are expensive but the SB6 and the SB6R are unusual fitting, at least the carbon wheels bolt straight in with no messing about.

I think your mods are fine. Cut the rubber cover to the alternator.
