Had the YB6 out for its first run today after getting it registered to see how everything was and crikey what are you supposed to do with the mirrors??

You get a great view of everything except what’s behind you!

Are there any better mirrors out there that will fit or mods that can be done to help?

It’s a non exup model, do other models mirrors fit and do a better job?

Welcome to the world of Bimota Ownership....Mirrors...always an after thought with Bimota...your supposed to be built like a catwalk model...skinny as a rake so that you get to see more than your fat elbows, hips and arse...but thats just not the case with most Bimota Owners...meself included....I think their Mantra was that if you needed to see what was behind you...then you weren't going fast enough and should trade down Brands.....

Even in the 2005 series onwards they kept getting it wrong...let alone the 80's or 90's.....theres plenty of cheap and cheerful Chinese mirrors out there that actually offer a view behind...its the length of the stalk that needs addressing...the mirrors are always too close together and too close to the rider...to create that narrow aerodynamic profile they wanted....

try a YB11....lock to lock the mirrors hit your forearms....some folk designed and had made extender blocks to push them further out to the sides...I chose multi adjustable chines modern stuff that has longer stalks and is adjustable to push them forward also for a "better" field of view behind

The Italian philosophy is "what is behind me is not my problem", on the YB8 Furano, not only can I not see the policeman behind me I can't see the speedometer to be able to respond to the "do you know what speed you were doing sir" question.

Welcome to the 1990's

Hi All,

Took my YB11 out for the 1st time and as pointed out by Steve it has come with some lovely mirror extenders. I have to say that without bothering to adjust the lenses (they move a tiny bit in the housing) I thought they did the trick.

My SB6 has mirror extenders on, make a huge difference.
Look for a man with a milling machine that will do some stuff in his spare time.
