I don’t understand why they seem to separate rare stuff. Like the DB4 seat unit for example. They’ve removed all of the hard to find stuff like, the seat pad, tank pad, ally tank cap, seat lock assy, rear carbon assembly for tail lights etc. I’ve never seen this stuff for sale anywhere and yet it’s all been removed from most of the bodywork that they sell |
I don't know that they've done it themselves - with those bikes having been cannibalised for parts sitting at the parallel importer in japan, it makes sense to me that a bunch of that stuff got pulled to support bike that they sold. |
Yes you’re probably right Ben _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

Went and had a look at it today - the frame rash is a little scary... but the bike that's in their just arrived video is an interesting unit. It's a Mk1 - small headlights, Oscam wheels... with billet 40mm Brembo calipers on it, and RCS master cylinders. Unfortunately it's had something dropped on its tank, stuffing the paint - oh, and it's a cut Mk2 fairing (very nicely done) so the headlights look all wrong due to the small headlights. What are the Mk2 headlights from anyway? ZXR750 or something?
Oh yeah, the Mk1 is going to be up for sale, complied and registered for $16k
Good news is I fit on the thing, just need to think some more about it. |

Sounds interesting. I’m led to believe that the Mk2 headlights are ZXR400, can’t confirt that though. If it’s a good bike, 16k is closer to the money. _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

Mk1 headlights are the 400 type, they're smaller than the Mk2, you can use the lamps from a GSX-R 1100 either mounted on an ally plate or cut and shut the originals _________________ Don't read everything you believe |

Lol. Can find the headlight unit new - wish I'd known that before I'd bought one out of japan (with fucked bulb holders. ARGH).
Tail light is Cagiva Elefant too (Later used on the Ducati Monster). |

Yeah, that's the plan for the future, but for the moment I need to be as stock as I can manage for the compliancing process. |
