Bimota Strokers....your help is needed.
Lectron have replied: Hi, sorry for the delay Lectron came back and have said they cant help with a carb for that combination. regards Nick
So that kicks that idea into a cocked hat....or pointy hat if you are 2Bims.
Your suggestions/ideas/best options along with carb setting....enough to allow me to order (using your experience would be great)
Please bear in mind that I am planning to use premix....with socks or PODS
Thankyou in advance

"the man" that knows...says nothing more than 33:1 for premix.....and thats all I can offer I'm afraid......Although you may be reluctant...there are many RDLC owners out there with tricked up 350LC's....going up to 700cc LC's and everything inbetween with special motors.....I know you dont do facebook but I can ask the questions for you of some 2-stroke nuts I know |

2Bims.............congratulations on your Point Hat bike....looks really good.
With regards to the carbs.........I can buy from ITALY the manifolds and the dellortos as fitted to the V Due, but even The Man says ...They are not so good!
So based on his statement and after searching, I am looking for all other alternatives.
2 Stroke carburetors have come on in leaps and bounds and surely someone out there has found a really good option for the V Due.
All answers gratefull......do not want something for nothing ...just trying to minimize the pain and the fuel stained fingers
regards

What about the smart carb? Did you have any luck going down that route? |

Bud977....yeah contacted Smart carbs and even tried to wake up Gardner carbs of Sussex.....waiting on both.
Do not want to go for the let’s experement route...done that...still waiting for the last project to be finished from an electrical point of view.
Ideally someone on here has had their skin stained by testing and jetting and has found the perfect combination.
I have sent some PM to some 2stroke fiddlers on here....let’s hope

You could try just using a piece of garden hose on a funnel for each cylinder?
I know... I'm not helping... just wanted to feel like I'm involved _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

If you don't want to experiment I would stick with what works Piero runs Delorto on his personal vdue.......check out eurocarb they can supply a polished race version, I noticed on one of Piero race engine's he had Keihin fitted.......I have got to say that if you fit the latest vdue engine in a Cagiva city frame then I don't think performance is going to be your main problem ! |

You may not write and post often Mick....but when you do...its a gem....your closing comment did make me chuckle......Due to be heading over to yours sometime soon, with some goodies in toe...just waiting for the last few bits to arrive that have now cleared UK customs.....I've even bought you some low head appropriate length and dia allen bolts to fit the USA items to the EU item....Mind you....If I keep adding to it...It may become a permanent project as its sitting proud of place on my dining room table at the moment...makes for interesting "after Dinner" talk....

Moreno...........this is exactly the different options I was talking about.
Do you have any further details?
Mick..........I concur, but prior to build stage, I am trying to get the ducks in row, from people who know.
I did ask Brian from OZ...but you seen his response!
thank you all

that Moreno has mentioned. |

Yes mate. Had a chat to him a year or so ago. Looks a good system but I am to far down the DI road just to be stubborn. I need to get a better throttle body than the Walbro one.
The machining on the Gobert swing arm is finally finished. Just have to trial fit it & then coat it before final fitting.
Here is the guys website.http://www.promap-europe.com
He has a facebook page & a couple of youtube vids as well
When are you coming over to tack the track bike for a ride? |
