Hi, Has anybody got any information about a one off 1981 SB2 with a hammer crackle black standard GS750 engine and longer Ceriani forks with the clip ons above the top yoke. I built this bike using a new frame kit and a second hand engine. I have some pictures of the bike and wonder if it still exists. It was first registered in Surrey. The registration number has 818 in it.
Many thanks Colin. |

have you done a check on here for the reg no?
https://www.getvehiclesmart.com/vehicle-smart-check.jsp
Lets you know if MOT history or export marked etc etc....and also check on here
https://ownvehicle.askmid.com/
might not be taxed of have MOT history (DVLA records only start for online searches from 2005 onwards...they have no online history prior to that
But...maybe the bike is still insured somewhere in the UK
Hope this helps |

Hi. Thanks for the suggestions. I have tried them and nothing useful comes up.
Either it has been damaged or it is hidden in someone's garage.
Hopefully something might turn up.

Can you post the pictures of your SB2 that you are trying to locate? I am aware of a couple dozen SB2’s that are around, and would like to see if I can help locate it for you. _________________ 1978 Bimota SB2 00046

Nothing useful comes up...or Nothing comes up??...it would help if you gave the reg and frame number if you can recall....as theres ways and means of finding out further that are legit...you just need to find the right person...wink wink |

Thanks guys. I don't have the chassis number but the index number is NPL818W.
It was the last SB2 chassis supplied to Dixon Racing in 1981. As said earlier it had longer fork stanchions fitted by me to enable the clip ons to be fitted above the top yoke. It also had gold Brembo brake callipers fitted.
It was last taxed in 1988.
Regards Colin |
