Yup...stone the Crows......BeJesus…..Sacrebleu….Odds Bodkins....Zut Alors and many other expletives....2Bims has a bike up for sale...……
BUT...before you all run for cover believing that the World must be coming to an end with the mother of all tsunamis...Ice Age....Meteor Impacts...WWIII etc etc....take a seat....breath in...relax....Its not a "Bimota" that I'm selling....
Its my 1991 era Ducati 900SS/Superlight Reincarnation.....which was a thread on here from start to finish....some 18 months in the making....has now moved out of the Dining Room and into the garage...but is on carpet and under breathable cotton drapes in an insulated, heated and dehumidified environment...More space is needed in there for "Something is coming...." Yes something else...but sworn to secrecy....and heres me saying "no More".
Basically the Ducati....which featured in a Practical Sportsbikes magazine...shots here courtesy of their photographer..has had a Full Nut and Bolt restoration...the only "bolts not changed...were the 2 engine mounting bolts...swinging arm bolt and the 2 wheel spindles....Everything else has been either replaced with like for like...High tensile Steel where needed...or SS where less torque....Replated, Polished, painted, powder coated or is new....Carbon most everywhere and some 25Kgs saving in Mass over a stock 900ss/superlight...High level titanium Termi oval race cans....footpeg rubbers, gear/brake foot rubbers...new...all bearings throughout the engine and frame/headstock wheels etc all new...Every seal and bearing in the engine replaced...Engine work by Ducati Mcr...all engine stripped fully....acqua blasted...acid etched 2 pack paint to crankcase halves and 5 coats of Hi temp lacquer...Far better than stock new original...Engine heads and barrel soda blaster and ceramic coated by Cam coat in Warrington...NOS Show forks...Refurbed and revalved Showa rear shock....It wanted for Nothing....and got everything..>Far more cost than I like to recall...But theres receipts for it all...Has to go...willing to entertain any and all "reasonable" offers....
I'll let the pictures do the talk from here on in....

“...willing to entertain any and all "reasonable" offers....” - keeping your cards close to the vest?
Beautiful bike Steve. I hope it finds a deserving owner _________________ 1991 Bimota YB10
