I've researched this and according to the AFAM website they make front and rear sprocket as well as chain etc to suit the YB8 which is essentially the same as the YB 6. However the brilliant AUSSIE distributor won't order them to arrive earlier than FEBRUARY !!! Bloody hopeless.

Can anyone in Blighty help me out. I'd like a set 43 and 45 tooth rear, and 15 and 17 front, plus a chain. Any contacts to AFAM dealers at your end appreciated.

cheers for Xmas lads

Your chain should be fairly easy to sort out - it's written on the links, then all you need to do is count how many you have, white paint (nail varnish) where you want to start and then mark every known amount.

Take the sproket cover off - use a clutch holding tool and breaker bar to take the front sproket off... or use a rattle gun. look for marks on it, if it looks standard then you want a Yamaha FZR600R foxeye or ThunderCat sproket.

Take the rear off (loosen the nuts with the rear wheel on the floor) and scan it - then you can send it to a sprocket supplier who should be able to get one to suit

As they're in the UK and you're in Aus you'll get bum raped on the postage, all for something that can be sourced over there if you use a bit of savvy.
