Hi, can anyone tell me the correct / most popular tyre sizes for my 6r ( original wheels ) please . My rear one is a 190/50 qualifier and it's pretty close to the hugger Cheers

Mine which is 0 km as it left the factory is fitted with:

Rear 190&50 ZR17
Front 120&70 ZR17

But as has been stated on this forum on many occasions it could be that this is what they had in stock on the day, or what a supplier offering them credit had in stock on the day Smile

Profiles of tyres can change between manufactures but I'd go for a 180/55

Most tyre manufactures say 170/180 for a 5.5 and 180/190 for a 6 inch rear.
As EC says though profile changes between tyre manufacturer also.
In my experience Pirelli and Dunlop have quite a small cross section radius on the tyre (resulting in a taller tyre) and Michelin a larger/flatter radius , thus Michelins will probably give more hugger clearance.

SB6R parts book lists 120/70 and 190/50, there's 2 part numbers for SB6 front guards, the part number for 1996 build SB6s is the same as SB6R, hence why some have no problem with 120/70 on the front of a SB6...
