|

Could you some advice and direction to get some service parts.
Have read about the issues getting the correct fork seals.
Looks like 5UN-23145-L0-00 works, unsure about the part number for the dust cover.
I assume the carb rebuild parts are standard Suzuki, as well as the intake manifold boots.
What about the brakes?
Calipers appear to the the ubiquitous brembo golds, so I assume it is the same part numbers as an older Ducati Monster?
Anyone have information on the masters?
Basically looki to give a bike a complete going over.
Any strange tools I need to gather? I am well covered for most tools already.
Will need to figure out the battery part number as well.
Anyone have a PDF of the parts list or a service manual?
Anything SB6R specific to look at while going over the bike? |

Do you do "facebook" at all/…...yeh yeh...the devils work...but theres a few Bimota specific pages out there...and one advantage of them is that theres files of workshop manuals, spare parts manuals and even some owners handbooks uploaded to them for free download in pdf format.....as FB allows such great sized space to upload files up to 100meg for free...and thats per file...I'm no SB6 specialist but there is a SB6 specific Owners Facebook page out there run by one from here...and a UK Bimota Owners FB page also....run by one on here also....with free downloads for manuals....I hate FB with a passion but ONLY do it privately with security and privacy built in and only from a laptop....without a gps sender on it.....I'm sure others will be along to assist...but the FB pages get read more frequently as it pings peoples phones who do FB on their phones and responses can be within the minute or hour.... |

Just checked the BimotaUK FB page....theres free downloads on there of pdf versions of the SB6 Workshop manual and the SB6 and SB6R spare parts booklets (codes on there are Bimota specific where they are specific to Bimota...generally if its a part from a manufacturer of the engine they use that manufacturers part code)...Theres also parts manuals for full strip down and rebuild of the Paioli Front forks manuals also as these are a separate booklet by Paioli.....I'd download and email...but if theyre over 20mb....they cant be emailed with my server |

Thanks!
I'll check out that FB group.
I'm 34, so FB is kind of engraved into me. Funny, but it seems to have killed most forums too. |

Yeh.....thats the thing with FB...and its a bugger to search for old stuff...once you've viewed it it seems to be gone.....unlike Forums...for which I still prefer even if they are a little clunkier.....you have a pm |

If you want fork seals go to K-Tech - get the bushes too you will damage them taking the forks apart.
Carb seal kits from Lite Tek in Thailand- they do vitton seals which last longer in modern fuel - the float bowl seals are a touch fat, I put them on a drill to spin them and used 800 wet n dry to take them down.
Find a battery code from MDS Batteries or just search on ebay.
Oil is 10/40 semisynth.
Plugs - do NOT use iridium, if you want posh plugs use the twin electrode type - NGK CR9EK _________________ Don't read everything you believe |

I've had issues with iridium before and gone back to normal...on singles and twins let alone in-line 4's......I suppose One big fat spark is better than 2 small ones? |

It's a piece of Bimota sponge between a couple of pieces of wire mesh. ITG in the UK produce a good re-useable filter. _________________ What, Jonny's gone! |
