Still not certain what I will do.... but I know one thing for sure.... if they only worth $2000 I will most definitely keep them and make door handles or wall art out of them _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

Thanks for that Nick. I have a paper version of this manual but didn’t have it electronically. I haven’t ruled out putting them on the 750R yet, I do have a lot of other nice parts to go on it... Ohlins rear, Marvic wheels, Brembo rotors, AP Racing 6 pot callipers, Ohlins damper, full Ti race system and Ti Muzzy can. As others have mentioned it’s a fair bit of work to fit the forks but they would be a conversation piece to somebody who knows their stuff. |
Yeah but if you are going to fit the wheels/rotors/calipers then you got to do some of the work anyway, the only thing extra is the yokes .
If you don't fit these what else are you going to use as stock will look a bit out of place ??? (plus not sure if stock would take the calipers ?) |

I bought the calipers specifically to fit to the forks, so if I don’t fit the forks I have no use for the calipers either. If I end up not fitting these forks to the R then it will probably be returned to bone stock _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

Best way to find the value. Ebay them! Just put a high reserve that you would be comfortable letting them go for. I am in the same situation, I have a new set of Ohlins FG661 supermoto racing forks with a radial mount braking system. They only produced a few sets in their racing department. I have no idea the value? One day they will be on eBay, but I have too many other projects I have to attend to. Good luck on the value. My best guess $3,500.00 USD for your forks. Hopefully they will end up on a Ducati with a Spondon aluminum frame. _________________ 2002 Cannondale E440

Thanks for that. That's more like the figure that I thought they might be worth.
What size are the FG661's? _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

Just a quick question Bri....but then I dont know my A from my E when it comes to race stuff...Do these forks not have any dust seals fitted? cant see any in the pictures?...If pucker race stuff do they leave them off as its "excess" weight and they would be stripping and refreshing after every race anyhow? |

I’m pretty sure that my FG8700’s have dust seals. I’m back at work now so can’t confirm either way _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |
