|
|
There was recently a post on here for a set of DB4 mufflers for sale (and something else). I replied and PM'd the seller. Both the post and the PM have disappeared, I suspect these were also a victim of the recent glitch that saw some recent posts disappear into the eternal darkness of the web.
I can't remember the name of the seller..... If you're still on here and the DB4 mufflers are still for sale please PM me _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851

Not really sure how that would work 2bims? if the post is gone from the forum I don't see how the browser history would help. But then again i'm a nuts and bolts man, not a tech guru _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

I tried for you....but it wasn't there.....Have you checked both your "outbox" and sent items"......if the guy didn't pick up and read your message it would be in your outbox....if he's read it it would be in sent items....and then gone with the glitch..... |

Yeah I checked the outbox and sent items last week but the message is gone from there too. No worries, probably saved me a few $$$ on something that I don’t really need _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

Yeah remember the post but got to ask why you would want to buy the originals ? Do you need a new ground anchor to attach your bikes to ?? |

His "first" DB4 with a single open race can never ran so well....so he stuffed the double can on from his second DB4 and it ran sweet as.....thus he now wants one for his New Bike as his old bike has got his new bikes can on it..... |

Steve’s pretty much on the money. I thought if they were cheap enough I’d buy them and gut them to make them sound a little better. I do like the look of the original mufflers but they’re too quiet. To be honest, I don’t really care too much about weight anymore and I can’t afford fancy Ti Corse systems _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

I actually quite like my "standard" DB4 mufflers....because they are quietish...albeit heavy....but then so am I so I'm with you on that front.....people say "Oh they copied the Monster shotgun style"....Eh...No.....They copied this....It is nice to have at least one quietish bike |

I’ve thought about opening up my stock DB4 mufflers to see if I can get a meatier note out of them, but I’m reluctant to screw around with them in case I fuck them up altogether _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

Theres pipes after pipes inside of them...hence the mass of the titanics anchor....and theyre not rivetted on the ends?...so pulling apart would damage the finish...?? |

I can’t find that post that had the DB4 mufflers opened up. Can’t even remember who it was... I had a feeling it was either deebee4 or bimototo 🤔 _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |
