Never seen an original one for sale. I am rebuilding a half faired bike and found a company in Germany that make fibreglass version. Fit seems very good . Only issue is that original mould was taken off OEM without stripping the decals so there is a very faint DB2 decal outline on this version, but can easily be taken back when prepping for paint. Will post contact and photos on my bike later.

OK ...this is the supplier in Germany .....

and this is the top half fairing fitted (temporary) to my bike. You can see good fit around headlight and the visible 'DB2' logo on the fairing.

I recently found a complete set of half fairing bodywork for a db2.

http://www.bimotaforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=6235

I believe they are factory Bimota, as they have all the holes and things needed for a street setup such as holes for parking light and lock tumbler. The only difference is the rear section does not have the fender made into it and the windscreen "pins" for securing.

This set came out of South Africa originally and I found it in Canada.

Randy, Very lucky find. Since the odds of that happening again are almost zero I’ll see about the motoplast body that welshlamb is trying.

Welshlamb, do you need a special bracket kit for the bottom of the fairing? Were motoplast easy to deal with? I had to use google translate since his website is only in German.

The Motoplast guy was easy to deal with , he speaks English (of course!)

Yes there are 4 spacers, that fit between fairing and engine for the lower fairing/belly pan. The top fairing uses the same two spacers as the full fairing but also needs the two ‘arms” that secure the front of the top half fairing (see he parts list). I am still looking for one of the belly pan spacers!

Welshlamb,

I'm going to be making a set of spacers for Randy (above). It would be not problem to make two sets.
