On your SB6 with high bars I can't rev first out at the moment on the SB6R!! Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

I bought Dusty's SB6R and its awesome, handlings superb and I dyno'd it today and it made 139bhp and as far as I can tell its stock.I wonder if replacing the cans will yeild much more power?
On the subject of cans they weigh 20lb with the link pipe!!! I didn't split up so is it the pipe or the cans that weigh the most? Smile Smile

About right for a 6R though. They had a revised airbox and ram (ish) air.

The pipe itself is steel and heavy ... but then so are the cans !!!
You might liberate a couple of ponies with different cans but I "think" the system might benefit from a larger dia where the 4 downpipes join into 2 and also where the 1 pipe breaks into 2 just before the cans.

I wonder how much a stainless system would cost and if a company would make a batch there was enough interest ???

yeah, about right for a 6r (2 or 3 ponies more than mine Crying or Very sad).
looked into having a one off zorst system made a while back. Was quoted the wrong side of £600 Shocked but it would have been a gamble if it would release more hp or less
Why do you need even more power Laughing

there's a clever trick to keeping the front end down.........
eat loads of pies Laughing

to be honest, if you use the throttle like an on/off switch, you can't keep the front end down to the point of being almost un rideable.
much finesse and patience is required but feck, is it fun Laughing

2-3 ponies could be the difference in a morning of afternoon session. I had an Acropavic front system for a Gix 1100W and it looked very similar to the Bim's apart from the pipe dia mentioned in my post.

2 or 3 ponies is a lot less than the difference between dyno's too Wink

Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing
I've clearly had a pop at the pie solution too Laughing Laughing

I've bought this in an attempt to end my serial modifying Laughing Laughing

I usually run turbo Busa's and mainly at the drag strip, this is the first decent road bike I've hadin some time.Although the powers good I tested it on MSS Kawasakis dyno and just after a ZX6R racebike made 122bhp so it then seems a bit weak Laughing Laughing

Anyway I remember seeing pics of Oily's and after riding mine thought how f*** does he keep the wheel on the floor? Confused Confused Laughing Laughing

Anyway we're closing on three weeks now and that bike is crying out for my spare Motec dash. The big question is can I stop myself from fuel injecting it with a full Motec system? Confused Confused Confused

I think you'd get better throttle response,as the throttle response test on the dyno showed a massive short fall there, and more power I'd wager 8bhp with GSXR1000 or Busa throttle bodies... Cool Cool Cool Cool Cool

I know someone with a 'project' Blow through GSXR1100 turbo on DTA that might be parted from it for not a lot of money. Cool Cool
