Can totally agree about the plastics on a DB4, my bike has less than 2000kms on it and has cracks all over the place, just have to accept it as part of Bimota ownership i guess.
I really do like the look of the half faired DB4's as i think the motor should be the main focal point and would definitely look at going to a fibreglass half fairing.

This is the carbon bellypan that he makes (on my DB4). The finish isn’t great, but the quality is good and fit is good. I’m happy with it.

Its been a discussion on this forum for awhile now regarding the half fairing... I think if some one started making them in fiberglass or carbon he/she would have no problems selling them .

I haven’t seen the yellow DB4 before, it looks good. Moto Corse did some nice bikes, is this an original Moto Corse?

Not sure Brian... How can you tell?

Looking at it again, it doesn’t look like it was done by Moto Corse and they usually brand they’re makeovers with a ‘C’ as in DB4C. This one may be a Redbro bike? Redbro bought a lot of the unbuilt DB4 stock from the factory (when it closed its doors early 2000’s), and built a number of ‘Specials’. Although it doesn’t look like a normal Redbro bike either. Someone more knowledgable than me might chime in with some info. Either way it’s a nice looking bike and the Corse can is very sort after. I see the original Bimota (crappy) plastic fairing has the obligatory cracks beginning Crying or Very sad

Very "eagle eyed" there Brian...I hadn't noticed the cracks on the nose cone around the fixing point.....and yes....the plastic stuff had gone fragile over the years....usually its cracking is due to over tightening of the fixing screws into the plates....Plus......they are rigid mounts and no flexibility built in....would be better to change out the plate/washer/backing "nuts" with rubber wellnuts.....which allows tightening but with some flexibility and rubber damping....

I think its a RedBro…..its their Colour scheme "design"....but in yellow.....so originally from New Zealand....it was advertised on "drew - Unobtainium" at auction in Japan I believe?...I recall the bimota word trying to be placed on the vented parts of the belly pan.....Oh....and NICE YB5 also....hadn't noticed that in line 4 that snook in under my radar....hiding in amongst the Ducatis....

I see that your belly pan has been cut way short at the back....but looks OK for it....didn't spot that at first....I bought like Brian....a carbon belly pan for my DB4.....as the original had cracked and split just for laughs.....As Brian says..."OK"....there is some heat defamation in the belly pan as they copied and made a mould from an original DB4....and didn't fill in before they made the mould.....also....the lacquering on mine when received had pin holes all over it due to contamination on the surface before being lacquered....I hate spraying lacquer so took it to my sprayer who rubbed it all back and 2K pack lacquered it all up...happy with it now

Ok I’m over it now.

Stock Paioli shock on the DB4 with purple anodised ends. It has an aftermarket red spring fitted (already fitted when I bought the bike), I have the original white spring somewhere here. I can’t remember if the red spring is heavier or lighter than the stock white spring

Was chatting with Steve via pm on FB, and he said I should check out the forum, his? Eicma trip, and he did mention the sheds post.

Iv'e got to say I'm a bit envious! Some of the sheds posted look like show rooms.

Mine not so much! lol.

I've got 24 meters x 12 meters, and I've run out of room! Seriously.

I know I need to attend a sheds anonymous meeting.

I keep everything covered these days because dust settles, and it absorbs moisture... Bad, bad bad.

Nice shed Who. I cover my bikes most of the time too. But I usually take the covers off for photo shoots Laughing. I'm thinking it should be compulsory to remove all covers for photos in this thread, might have to make that a rule Rolling Eyes.

There's a few clues there.... FZR stuff, VFR fairing, nice Holden sign on the wall

Interested to hear more about the ex-TKA M1.... Who was the rider? I have a road M1 but love the goodies that the factory race bikes had on them. The carbon body work on my ZXR race bike is ex-TKA (or so I was told, who knows)

Some very nice bikes in the list there mate, most of them on my wish list.
