SB7 on fleabay. Anyone had a chance to compare the ride to a 6? I know it will be down on power but it must feel much lighter? The 750 lump wasn't exactly a slouch even by todays standards. A few people bidding and I might have a pop but dont want to push anyones price up if you are already bidding? Let me know... _________________ Pomps

I'm guessing there will be quite a few bidding till the price goes meteoric
Bear in mind that it is registered as an 87 and they were only sold in 94 and 95.
Whatever the reason that will be a problem and may end up biting you
Already tried to buy this bike direct but the guy wants to let the auction run. |

Don't quote me on this but there was somebody who bought a similar coloured SB7 in a van to a Bimota Club meet last year ... or maybe early this year. I think he'd bought off somebody who's son owned it. He owned a scooter shop or repaired scooters.
It didn't run on all 4 and if this is the same bike it sill doesn't. Sounds like the injection systems could be down.
As a project it would be ok junk the injection and put carbs on it _________________ Don't read everything you believe |

OR........
fit a modern injection system.
That was my plan
Getting parts for the original injection system would be nigh on impossible now |

Curious about the DVLA error? Might still be worth a punt at the right money... are you actually bidding chaps? _________________ Pomps

Don't mind me Duncan
I've already offered him 2.5K, which he turned down
It's worth no more to me in it's current state
Happy bidding |

Hi
It is the same bike that went to the ace cafe late last year came in a van and went home the same way.
Didnt run very well at all he couldnt start it.
Needs a power commander fitter in the least.
i might bid depends on the price as always
I wanted the SB3 that went but at £8900 bit rich for me, lovely bike though i remember seeing said bike at Dixon racing in 79 |

Also, the SB7 should have the instrument frame made of carbon fibre unlike the sb6 |

On SB6 you have two types of instrument frame, first type on early (with first Antera wheels) is on two parts as you can see on the SB6 brochure, second type is one piece of carbon (with Marchesini wheels and then new Antera wheels).
Picture of SB6 second type

The early type clocks are Suzuki clocks with different faces.
The guy seemed disapointed with the value of the bike (a non runing SB7), he was ok with about £3-3.5 running with MOT.
Personally I think £2.5k is about right _________________ Don't read everything you believe |

In FRANCE a VGC SB6 couldn't do more than 6.000€ (very low real mileage could do a little more).
There are a few SB7s on FRANCE but for a non running SB7 with the trouble of the injection and the difficulty to find parts (if any) a low price of £2.5k seems realistic and I must say if such SB7 with french tittle would be offered to me at this price not sure at all I would buy it |

I agree, I've gone right off the idea.
Whoever buys this has a fair bit of work to do and money to spend.
Nice project if it goes for the right price but the amount of interest in it, I think it's going to be an expensive project |
