In the process of a big bore upgrade (more to follow when I have all the parts) I found corrosion on and in the coolant pipe at the top of the pump. Might be worth a look if you have time on your hands and the bike waiting for the snow to melt.

There is a mix of Suzuki and Bimota parts in the cooling system.
Take a look at my project, I had a bunch of cooling issues to sort out.
Can search on DT for more posts.

Thanks! With the cylinders off the only issue I found so far is the pipe at the top of the pump. It is not closed but if left unattended I could imagine that it would which is why I posted for the forum. I had changed the coolant about two years ago and I think it was the first time so it looked bad. One of the tabs on the lower rad broke on disassembly. I will have a local welder do the repair.
See my comment regarding fueling in your thread. |

Yeah this is crucial.
I had not noted it though. _________________ accept | achieve |
