Yep, the hairpin is a right hander but when you exit it your heading towards coppice which is an uphill left hander Wink

That's at the end of the straight bit ....
I only did a track evening there in the Novices and never had the bottle to take it flat out on the 400 ... although it looked "feasable"

no it isn't - it's the left bit of the right/left flick-flack chicane. It was put there to slow the approach to the Mountain "in" (left hander) which you can see in the distance.
Trust me - I've done 12 track days here on the full circuit and know it intimately.
Coppice is the very fast left hand / uphill sweeper at the end of the start/finish straight that leads into Charlies.

Correct. To the left you can see the original lime of the track that ran between the Madison left hander an the start of the mountain section. The bike in front is lined up for the left right flick flack to go up the hill... a small straight passed the cafe then thru the woods to the right hand hairpin.

As Geekay says they put the hairpin in to slow the bikes down before the mountain section. They did the same at Oulton Park in 2 spots down the back straight and more infamously at Silverstone just before the pit straight to slow you down for turn 1. Thankfully that has now gone Razz
