|
|
I have finally come across and purchased a DB4 half fairing (fairing only). I'd like to get a mould made to be able to replicate the half fairing for my other DB4.
I'm posting here to see if there's enough interest from others who would want to buy a half fairing to make the exercise viable. Obviously the most expensive part is going to be getting the mould made.
I'll say up front that I think the finished product is going to be very expensive even if there are 10 people interested.
The unpainted half fairing that i have will have to be prepped and painted first to be able to make the mould as it needs to have a gloss finish. The release compound will most likely destroy the paint finish so then the original piece has to be prepped and painted again. I would wear this cost, but i would keep the mould. The cost of the mould would have to be split amongst the interested parties.
I'll also post this on the FB pages. PM or email me if you're interested. Once i know how much interest there is, i'll have a better idea of cost per item.

There's been zero interest here or on the FB post, so it looks like the mould is a no go. I'll just have to make do with the one that i have _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |
