What a perfect idea! Maybe just let me have a rolling chassis with V5 and you have everything else? _________________ Pomps

Bought it as a non runner...........
Apparently it does run But the clutch slips like a good'un (Probably due to the fully synthetic oil he was using). He had the engine half out to sort the clutch then lost interest
My plan is to finnish pulling the engine out, pull the casings off, sort the clutch, and try it out. If it's good....well that's great, if not I might break it which is what I bought it for but it seems too good for that..
Should have the engine out in the next couple of days then I'll be able to see what I'm up against.
I'll keep you posted |

Cool, funny you should mention the fully synthetic...I had an old K1 Zxr 750 rr which was great up until a mate put fully synthetic oil in and the clutch kept slipping after that. Even after changing the clutch plates for brand new. Got shot in the end but loved that bike. Anyway, fingers crossed its a runner for you, er, us ... _________________ Pomps

Oh dear.................The previous owner could be right
I'm guessing this brown sludge is friction material off the clutch plates.
Won't know for sure untill my 50mm socket arrives
Looks like Suzuki san will be getting another £140 of my hard earned for a new set of plates
Then whack it back together and see if it's going to run
