Now if the engine in my new toy turns out to be OK the next job is going to be replacing the fork seals Crying or Very sad

Before I spend time searching, doe's anyone know of a supplier for seals to fit 46mm rsu paioli's.

Spose I could always fit the complete paioli USD front end that I was saving for something special Laughing

have sent a couple of emails to Paioli factory but they get bounced back

When I purchased my SB6 (with weeping seals of course) I ordered the complete set from Bimota (seals, bushes etx) but it was expensive (around 150 Euro) and it took 4 months to arrive.
In the meantime I had the seals replaced with Ariete (originally for some dirtbike) and it was working fine until I took it to the track when the right one started weeping afain.

This year I used the original Bimota kit and they are fine even after track use.

The part number for the Paioli 46 Maintenance kit is 849340026.

I hope you get it sorted soon.

I recently replaced mine with YZ250 seals. I will search for my receipt this evening, so I can give you a part number.

I've looked at yzf seals before but can't remember what I put in last time. Think it was string to absorb the leaking fluid to get it through the dreaded MOT Laughing

Toying with the idea (if funds allow) of getting the forks a proper full service.
Any recommendations?

They do the suspension setup days for the Bimota Enthusiasts (I'm a member) and rebuilt my FZR400RR SP forks.

Sorry for the delay. My receipt only shows 46mm KYB seals. I contacted the guy for a part number and he said that he would get it, but it's been days.

I have had someone else that gave me a part number, which I have misplaced, but I'm certain he told me it was for a '98 Kawasaki dirtbike. He didn't mention the model. I told this to my suspension guy and he told me the Yamaha YZ250's were the same.

part numbers 016-6605 , 062-1068. Unsure if they are exactly same but would reckon 46mm USD forks use lot of same components as normal 46mm forks

Alledgedly, the original seals ARE KYB so I might just order a pair and see Wink

As it happens, I've now found several sources for these 46 mm (KYB) seals and generaly cheaper than going through Yamaha, unlike the poor yb11 boys and their 51mm forks Rolling Eyes

Cheaper price is good, cheaper quality is bad.
