Yep I agree
Correct me if I'm wrong but Yamaha seals are made by KYB along with half the seals on the planet |

On my search for fork seals,I found that numerous scrambler bikes (motocross if in US)
use either Paioli or Ohlins forks all large diameter (40-55mm).May be worth checking with some of thier dealers.
On the question of forks,as these are cartridge style RSU 46/95 ,maintenance becomes a bit more tricky, requiring special tools.

Has anyone tried dealers (uk) to see if they can service, was aware that
there was some company in Plymouth did servicing _________________ Marty

Pretty sure I used ZX9R seals in my SB6R forks before I sacked them off for a pair of Ohlins. Kinda like polishing a turd really with those Paioli pogo sticks. (I'm not a fan of them if you'd not guessed!!!!!)

46mm Paioli fork seal size is 58.1 X 46 X 9.5/11.5mm
Fortunately this is quite a common size and as Marty said there are quite a few off road bikes that use this size seal.
Just a few of them:
Honda
CR125 97>
CR250 95-96
Kawasaki
KX125/250 96-01
Suzuki
RM250 01-03
Yamaha
YZ125/250/400F/426F/450F 96-03
WR250F/450F >04
So quite a few to be going on with |

Has anyone found the DU bushes for the Paioli 46 RSU forks? Or found the maintenance kit (special tools) required for full service? My forks are needing a complete rebuild and looking at options.
Thanks |

I don't think the bushes have been found. You might be lucky and be able to get some made up.
If you search around you can find a thread with a picture of the special tool - it's not a complicated thing _________________ Don't read everything you believe |

Thanks. Found the tool design at http://www.kvenna.net/Doc/RSU46tool.jpg Will make one up in next few days.
Sent a mail to Paioli asking if the bushes are available. No reply yet. |

Good find Planter.
Keep us informed about the buses if they have the right sizes. _________________ vince

Hhmmmmm......Would like to recommend.....but cant......I have had dealings with him putting new valve seals and fork oil seals on my YB11.....but they werent quite the right size and had to be ground down by him....forks leaked...took them back...leaked again and then wouldnt fix them....worked out of a garage at his parents home....all his seals you should be able to buy from Simplybearings website....as he merely supplies from other suppliers.... |

Like on the rest of the thread you can use yamaha or Kwak zx9r seals. Not sure about the bushes. _________________ Don't read everything you believe |

Thanks for feedback guys.
Bushes: I have ordered some XR650R bushes, which are meant to be the same size as the Paioli 46mm RSU. After measuring up what came of the Paioli fork the Kwak ZX9R bushes seem another option.
Seals: have ordered some Kwak ZX9R E2P seals, which are meant to be NOK BR 3886H seals, at GBP 10 each. Had not realised the price on 'Brook suspension' was per seal, so they were a little more expensive.
Image below is of the stripped fork with the bushes and oil seal on the stanchion. Did make up a tool but was not necessary to remove the cartridge to separate.

As an aside, this is the situation at the top of the fork. Seems that preload is fixed so little point in the preload adjusters being fitted. Spring length is 325mm - the manual does not seem to state the standard spring length.
