For the Keihin FCR modification there was a different fuel tank with recess for the twin bowden cables.
Anyone has one lying around doing nothing?

Are you sure you need one? My Db2 has pushpull twin cable for the Keihin FCR41's and the cone K&N air filters yet runs standard plastic tank evidently with the whole airbox ditched. Can send pictures of set up if needed? |

Will do. There used to be a special fuel tank for the FCR modification (complete with Corse exhaust) for the carbed db4's _________________ Track riding on a Bimota: FUN! |

If you contact Vort28 on this forum he could tell you what he has as his DB4 came with the single open corse pipe, Keihin FCr39 flatslides, changed tank. Chances of you finding the kit with the tank slim to nothing though. Carbs you can get, and Corse pipes are still around but as they are titanium expect between 1500-2000GBP depending on whether just the tail can or full system |

Found a db4 tank with the special recess for the top twin cable operated Keihins including T-bar! 41mm FCR are already fitted for the last 3 years, however only fitted the pull cable relaying on the return spring for closure.
No problems so far, but a twin cable layout will be better and safer.
For the Mikuni TDMR40 you don't need a different fuel tank, because their operating cables come from the underside. _________________ Track riding on a Bimota: FUN! |

Brave man you are, relying on the return spring, still get caught out myself some sleepy days in not returning the throttle fully. Sun trying to escape the clouds, polish off the boots, dig out the lid |

I'm very meticulous about the throttle cable action and return, haven't had a problem ever. I'm used to the old Amals on Brit bikes that only have one spring.
But the twin cable action will give more peace of mind.... _________________ Track riding on a Bimota: FUN! |
