Not that it's gonna help you much but after an hours reserch at the local zuki dealership (drinking coffee) and a couple of phone calls, a definative answer...
cylinder head part number 46E00 was for 93 and 94 bikes without the mounting lug
and cylinder head part number 46E20 is for 95 on bikes WITH the mounting lugs
Which of course ties in with the years the SB6 was manufactured |

The engine man reckons on rebuilding it at the end of the month once the parts arrive - that's faster than anybody else has worked on the bike. _________________ Don't read everything you believe |

While I was rumaging through the Bimota manual I found this
Marks and timing for FRENCH market cams. Remember I said my bike would only push 100bhp and that I couldn't find any restrictors. I always suspected it was low lift cams and this seems to proove that therory. _________________ Don't read everything you believe |

French bikes are always one to steer clear from due to the 100bhp laws.
At least you won't have that problem anymore, unless your gonna use one of those french cams |

As you guys have the engine out I wonder if you can help me? I want to know the length of the paioli forks with no weight on them I have some Ohlins from a Ducati I want to use but they may be a bit short.
The dimension I'm interested in is from the top of the leg,not the blue adjust but where the cap first starts, to the middle of the front wheel spindle.
Thanks |

I know there was an SB6R that was changed to Ohlins but they also put in a lightweight wheel.
At first I though it might be better to change this as a front end so the wheel spindle brakes and calipers are all in the ringt place but I think the biggest drawback will be the frame width at the head stock. The SB6 doesn't have lockstops as such just those rubbers around the top of the forks, so you might need to get something around the top of your legs (snigga).
You might have to get wider tripple clamps made in which case you'll need to space the disks out to match. _________________ Don't read everything you believe |

Sorry for hyjacking the thread but thanks for the answers,I guess I'll need to check the offset on the yokes before I go any further. The forks are quite a bit smaller than the rubber rings stops so its only the offset that can muck it up. |
