I was just thinking it would be nice to know how many of each bimota model we have with the forum members . just out of intrest to see what is the most popular ,I got a feeling that it will be the SB6 as this is the one you always see for sale . Very Happy ( do not give location reg or frame numbers )just model and year .
I will start 1999 SB8R Razz

Hi, I have just picked up an SB6 and was struck down on day one by the side stand curse! Same damage as most but noticed that it was the side stand bracket buckling that caused the fall...mmm. Anyway should be fixed and ready to go soon.

It will be OK. The left indicator punched through the fairing mount, the clutch snapped and the side stand mount bracket bent inwards... which was probably how it fell in the first place when the end of the stand sunk just half an inch into the tarmac, must have reached critical weight transfer onto it. I have my mate in the west country working on it looking into modifying the angle and length to improve things. ( Sounds like the wife ). Anyway, I will keep you posted with his solution if it ends up working and send pics. Not to worried about the clutch as I wanted to add rear brake control on the clutch side as I have no feeling in right leg from previous injuries. Just have to be patient and as the normal british summer is here I dont feel so bad...

thats the problem I had the first time mine went over (indicator punced a hole in the fairing).. If you look at my pics elswhere I put flush mount indicators on mine but I have now found that its a bastard to change the bulbs, the other problem is now the edge of the fairing hit the floor this time but that is easier top repair.
A side stand mod is definately the cure next time. Rolling Eyes
