the rubber stipp that runson the side of the fairing against the frame. Any idea where I can get some from. it blew away in a 30mph blast

| I found the same profile from a car trim supplier at a classic car show, roughly around a pound a metre, exact same as the Bimota studd and I put it on the YB11 and DB2, search for car trim rubbers and you should find the same profile and finish. I usually dab the back in places with silicone sealant to kkep it on but still able to remove |

that would be great thanks, I only need the bit for the upper fairing to frame, can't be any longer than 12" I wouldn't have thought,

I've had a good look round, but only found 2 pieces, each is just over 15cms long and we all know that 2 six inches makes a 12 inch.
Youre welcome to them free and gratis if you want, just pm me an address to send to and will gladly post them off. At least if you carry one piece to a car show then you can match it up wih what they have. Don't do like me and just turn up without, they hace SO many types and sizes you get totally confused when you see he stock. Also sometimes listed as , windscreen rairing rubber, its abou 7mm wide, and clips nicely in place to the plastics |

What are the dims of your trim .... my SB6 never had any.
You might change the brake fluid in the rear too

| Its u shaped and about 9mm deep by 6mm across, finishes off the edge of the fairing nicely and the screen also. Wasn't on my DB2 bu was on the YB11, stops all the cables and stuff at the front end chaffing where they drop through the front edge of the fairing |

I doubt if bimota would have supplied the bike with a strip of rubber stuck to the inside lip of the bodywork as such. I may be wrong of course.
I would reckon you could probably replace it with a rubber store profile.
Few years ago I had an old 929 h**da race bike, and I did the same with the view to prevent the fairing damaging the frame if dropped it... it was a good thought but in theory it made no difference  |

The YB11's were a bit different in that the fairings were plastic and has the rubber trim as it finished flush with the frame. The seat/tank unit was one piece fibreglass without rubber trims as the edges were tucked under and out of sight.
