Im interested in getting feedback from owners of the newer BIMOTA models about the function of the Extreme Tech Rear Shocks that are used in a number of models.
For example; the DB7 has an Extreme Tech Rear Shock, and the Tesi 3D has both a Front and a Rear Extreme Tech Shock.
Extreme Tech shocks are made in Italy and are new to me. They are rare here in the USA. So we have very little experience with them.
They look like well built items. But the question I have is how well do they work? Are they as good, or better than Ohlins??? BIMOTA had used Ohlins shocks on quite a few models, and of course Ohlins are quite popular.
Any replies regarding these Extreme Tech components is welcomed.
Thanks

I think I read in PB Mag that they suspend high end rally cars. I don';t know how they compare to Ohlins, or WP, or any other shock for that matter, still they don't seem to complain about it in the tests _________________ Don't read everything you believe |

Unless you are Fast Freddie Spencer then dont worry about it and just relax and enjoy. Get it set up for your weight, ability and type of road conditions you ride on. Get settings for road and another for track and thats it. No magic in ohlins for the way we mere mortals ride. Its all about confidence and relaxed riding style. Everything else is a gimmick or placebo effect. Stock suspension in 99 cases of every hundred is better suited with a bigger sweet spot and forgiving manner. If you have a better grade set up then you should spend the time to make the most of it. With due respect the very act of asking the question would suggest you need to seek local expert advice. Worth every penny to pay for set up rather then fortunes on the highest grade suspension you can buy...or even worse just going for a side move to another brand. Good luck and I hope I dont come across as a righteous prat! _________________ Pomps
