Hi All,Just come back from a ride and noticed a bit of oil splash around front of lower fairing and there's quite a bit of oil on both fork sliders, looks like both seals have gone simultaneously!...does anyone know whether original fork seals are still available anywhere,or if not is there anything i can use as an alternative, thanks for any advice .

Phil.

Never heard of any probs for the YB10 at all.

I believe it is 42mm which seems to be quite a common size??

Cheers,
Zombie

Thanks Zombie,They are 40mm,will any 40mm seals do the job or are they specific to the bike, may seem a dumb question but i've never had to change any before.

Thanks Phil.

40mm is just one of three dimensions you need to take into account.
40mm is the inside diameter, you'll need the outside diameter and the thickness of the seals and then yes, you can use any fork seals with those dimensions. But, only use good quality seals Wink

The seals will probably have a number on them, if you google it you'll get the dimensions and maybe a supplier too.
Alternatively you can get in touch with a susension company and have the forks built with new springs to suit you.

I did mine a few years ago and I don't remember seals being a problem,I think they are a standard size. If you are replacing the bushes then getting the one located under the seal can be a problem. K-Tech sorted me out using 2 bushes half the length. Worked perfect.
