I'm likely to be making moulds for the YB6 as no one in the world that I can find makes them. I have two YB's that are both destined for the track.

If you happen to find some one let me know! Good luck!

All good,
I have ended up making a mould to suit my YB8, includes top section and full fairing. (no front guard). Also fits YB6 ? + maybe others ???
Can produce in fiberglass, carbon/kevlar or carbon fibre.
Contact through here - or on mcwreckers@gmail.com
Cheers
Glen

I'm pretty sure the three models will interchange the YB4 and YB6 are the same pattern, but the 1992 Furano is slightly different. If you wanted to run it P6 or pre-90 you will need the YB4-6 pattern. That's what I need anyway

Your in NZ?

Do you have bimota headstock inserts, or have you made your own? Do you know a supplier of the headstock bearings?

Looking forward to seeing your build. Why don't you post some photo's along the way? Cheers.

The standard FAG brand bearing allows variable rake angle to be used. You only need to change the top spacer (make progressivly offset ones) The bearings (barrel shape) will automatically align.
neat idea aye.
Insert is a piece of cake to make & press in the race.

I need two sets of the Fag bearings. They are bend-over expensive. And very hard to find. Checked your web site... very Cool!

I'm probably going to build a YB4ie for the P6 750 class and a YB6 as a practice-ride day bike also. Probably 12 months away realistically.

Same type of FAG barrel bearings are used in the SB6 frames.
FAG number 502365
Are they the same bearings in both the YB and SB?
Has anyone found a source for them?

The bearing is also used in some Mercedes trucks, apparently still manufactured in Brazil. Mercedes-Benz Part number 000 981 04 06. They are described as STEERING GEAR SPHERICAL ROLLER BEARING

If your not wanting rake ajustability you could try finding a bearing through pyramid or the like with a dimensions such as the original: Bore 26.500 od 55.000 width 12.500.

I'm pretty sure they are the dimensions, but it would pay to check for yourselves. Apparently they (the Mercedes part number) can be ordered through http://mbspecialist.de/ I believe they are very expensive.

How many people are interested in these? Is a group buy in order? i would like 2 sets. Cheers

As far as i'm aware the YB6,YB8 and YB10 frames are identical,i'm looking for some track day bodywork for my YB10 Dieci, does anyone know if the the YB8 bodywork listed on this site will fit my Dieci,it seeme quite reasonably priced ,there is a site in the US that has specific Dieci bodywork, but its a bit more expensive and the delivery details to UK are a bit vague.

They are not exactly the same but body work will interchange between the 6-8 Not sure about the 10, but a good chance it would go on. The YB10 frame s much sturdier down at the swing arm end, and has the frame cross bracing further forward.

If you can find bodywork specific to the year, I would go with that, I think it is always good to keep them looking the way they are meant too Smile

I agree about keeping them original too,the bodywork was purely for use on track,i've done a couple of track days recently and the thought of me throwing my bike down the tarmac and wrecking the plastics has stopped me from giving it 100% Twisted Evil
