Found this guy with quite a collection (29) of bikes, mainly rare Italian.
Among his collection was a 02 MONDIAL Piega 1000. I offered him £10000
(12,000 euro-$16,000) ,he laughed and said multiply by three.
Was he serious, or is this toy way out of my pocket money range.
Also he had a Ducati Supermono which he estimates at £75-£80,000
Must have the wrong job, role on Tuesday Eurolottery _________________ Marty

I saw a Mondial once - they used a honda SP1 engine.
I guess they're worth what people will pay for them but the SP1 wasn't a bad bike to begin with. Because there are so few of them I'd guess they'll head straight for collections so they'll comand collector's prices. _________________ Don't read everything you believe |

Piero, he of V-Due Italy fame, had only recently purchased the entire factory stock of Mondial, along with the name and right to manufacture the remaining bikes. He even had the company vans parked-up outside. I had a good look at a couple of Piegas in various states of completion - not my cuppa but impressive nonetheless - and not cheap. £10k might get you a naked rolling chassis. Less the wheels and suspension.
So now you know where to get your spares from |

Read that one in WH Smiths library today, he has a Ducati Mono as well, few bits in there from Glen Wilson about Bimotas and a test of a Yb11 afainst MV Augusta and Duc 916 I believe, (ran out of lunch break, already spent my pennies on a simpsons magazine for my son) |

There are two Mondials on James list at the moment, one i believe has 0 miles and has a 16k(sorry no pound key on my laptop) price tag and the other one i cant remember the mileage but the asking is 22k pound. Expensive yes but also rare. |
