Gents, would anyone be interested in some light weight dymag 7 spoke forged wheels. They are currently on offer for £1199.95 inc VAT( £999.95+vat) for standard weight fr 3.09kg RR 3.9kg bare, or they will do an extra machining op for £100+vat , FR 2.6kg RR 3.3kg bare. So a grand total of £1319.94, were £1680.
They are unwilling to give me my full dealer discount back but I have managed to get them down to £1150 all in, so 15% discount . I was hoping that if I could drum up a few more numbers to reduce this further as there would be less set up time to produce say 5 sets of hubs over 5 different ones.
This is a one off deal on the UP7 model only, as they are left over forgings from the old dymag.
Delivery would be 4-6 weeks and a £200 deposit up front.
Just for comparison.
UP7 extra op FR 2.6kg RR 3.3kg , Dymag Magnesium 5 spoke FR 2.5kg RR 3.3kg , Dymag carbon 5 spoke FR 1.7kg RR 2.2kg . All figures are for bare wwheels so bearings etc will be common through out.
Neeed to know asap as limited number of old forgings left , and I want to order mine by wednesday.
Oh delivery of about £30 per set on top and any colour other than black or white is an extra.
Also, I have CF wheels on my DB4 , and although you will not believe how light the CF is, I do feel they are possibly to light, as the front can get a bit lively at times. |

| Chicken, is'nt yours the CF/mag spoke jobbie ? if so they dont do them any more. What I can do though is try to get a set of drawings off them. This may come in handy if you get a S/H one and need to get spacers made. |

| The reason I was a dymag dealer 5 years ago is they listed nearly all Bimota models and I never had an issue with them not supplying the correct spacers etc. Its a simply a job of fitting tyres and discs, and then placing them onto the bike. How many other wheel manufacturers know there are 3 different fitment of wheels for the SB6. |

Very tempting .........BUT............personal preferance I know, I don't like the look of the 7 spokes. I think they look like H**da wheels. Now if they were 3 spokes
I've already got a set of 5 spokers but could do with another pair of Dymags for one of the other sb6's
Have they got any deals going on the 3 spokers Vort? _________________ SB6 mk1 (project mega light, big bore)

Thanks Vort.
I've been thinking about a set of lightweight wheels for my DB4ie after weighing the original Antera's. Although I prefer the look of the 5 spoke Dymags (or Oz Piegas) that Dymag offer is tempting!
I've checked Dymag/PDQ's site and the offer appears to be for a forged aluminium 3.50/6.00 Ultra Pro pair. I think my DB4ie is a 5.50 rear though so wouldn't be correct?

| Just checked the antera wheel on the back of my DB4 Tricolor, its 6 inch, same as the DB2, phew, thank god for that you had me worried as I've ordered a set. The fronts though are narrower mine measure just under 4 and Dyamgs say 3.5, but at least they'll fit |

I have a set of dymags on my db4 , and can confirm the 3.5/6 are the right size. The 6 inch rear is the cause of the special front drive sprocket as the 900ss is a 5.5 rear.
I have to check my Anteras to prove to 2Bims that these are right so will put some pictures up.
The offer is on up7 forgings only as they are what was left over from the old dymag. They are not making any more, and on tuesday when I ordered a few sets are down to the last 10 sets now.
As you say PDQ are there new supplier and they will not give anyone else trade accounts on current designs, so this is the last time they will deal with me. |

I've checked my bike, with the original Anteras, and the rear is definitely marked 5.50 x 17. FWIW this matches the DB4ie brochure. Perhaps Bimota fitted whatever they had available, especially as the DB4 was being produced just before the factory shut in 2000? _________________ Bimota DB4ie
