Does any one know if Bimota found a NON colour blind electrician for the current models?
...or is it a ploy to keep the electrical fault diagnosis for the dealers/factory? _________________ SB6 mk1 (project mega light, big bore)

Falcolion - have you had any issues with your SB8k? (Electrics scare me at the best of times, but Italian electrics are on another level.)
2Bims and Nige have aready seen this , but just so you boys can understand what I was up against when I was trying to trace a wire with the aide of only a bimota wiring diagram.
According to the wiring diagram it's the purple wire I am after ???
Picture of the ECU
Picture of the wires going into the clocks
Think some one found a spare drum of purple wire. |
OMFG Someone either is color blind or inlove with purple
So far I been lucky but considering I only got the bike 2 weeks ago and only rode it once. On my first ride I had check engine light come up after a fuel stop. I kept riding because bike felt fine and knoing Italian electronics, I fugred its a fluke. When I got to my next stop I shut the bike down for about 30 min while having breakfast. After breakfast I re-started the bike and check engine light went out. I noticed that I get gas tank/fuel level light come on, even if the tank is full, while standing at the traffic lights. If I blip the throttle the light goes out. I am assuming some sending unit is not perfect but for now I am not worried
By the way if anyonehas better idea of the problem please let me know.
This week I will start working on the biggest problem this bike has - mirrors. I will try to come up with some decent solution so I can actuyally use mirros. Most likely wil be replacing OEM mirrors with some aftermarket ones _________________ 2016 Suzuki GSXR750 TRACK BIKE

Would be interested if you sort the mirrors out as they do seem a bit crap, but then they are standard bimota mirrors so should not expect anything else.
On a good note the DVLA ( uk transport office) finally accepted my registration paperwork for the Santamonica yesterday, so hopefully I will have a registration plate number by the weekend and then I am road legal |

I hope you are not suggesting I would take one multicolour Bimota out on the road with another multicolour bimota plates on it |

I never "suggest" anything but if the cap fits......
Are my wheels ready yet?
Got new front discs waiting and sticky tyres and titanium disc bolts and new brake pads and all I need is a rear disc and wheels _________________ SB6 mk1 (project mega light, big bore)
