First batch now en route to Oily's gaff... The big man came and collected them himself so I couldnt hide the crappy ones in the batch... Oh well..
He had a few ideas when we were talking... So who is first in line for a carbon fibre Cod piece?
Hope you guys like them... He did mention fitting them. OK.. The back of the parts have a rough texture to them. Not really rough just a course denim texture. This will let most things stick to them. So you can use sticky pads, silicone sealer or a mastic tape like I used for making vacuum bags.. Like this stuff...
http://www.ecfibreglasssupplies.co.uk/p-1659-low-temperature-sealing-tape.aspx
These guys charge £5.35 plus vat and postage per roll.. I can do them for £5.50 including postage if you want a roll.. It just covers the cost of the material if I buy a box full. There is enough on there to last you ages and will not leave a sticky residue and will allow you to remove the covers if you want. The covers will need some careful pressing down onto the mastic tape but it should be strong enough. |

......Already have a small project in the works but........
Does anyone have a serious hankering for a carbon fibre tank cover/tail piece for there SB6?
I say serious because of the cost involved. As you know, these carbon fibre bods get confused between quotes and phone numbers _________________ SB6 mk1 (project mega light, big bore)

True but it shows how cheap the frame protectors are.. That part is £121.00 for one small bit! |

I couldn't talk myself into buying these from you without an SB6, so I bid on a '95 model on the US eBay (black and red version). I was high bidder at the auction's end, but the reserce was not met.
If I knew for a definate fact I would own an SB6 in the next two years, I'd buy a set of these from you, but I think I may wind up buying an airplane before an SB6. _________________ Look for my books...
