Its strange how things turn out, I recall seeing the article in one of my magazines, as the Tesi had the same colour scheme as my DB2 used to have (Kinetic Art/Alpine), but I couldn't find the magazine, and as I have sold over 700 recently on Ebay I thought it had gone there, but evidently as it had an SB6 test review in it, I must have passed it over to Vort, nearly kept it as it had a DB2SR test in it also, but as it isn't exactly my bike I let it go. Vort has lots of other SB6 mags and now that he has your SB6 owners Handbook, perhaps what goes around will come around???Hint Hint.... Laughing

Nice one Geekay, who'd have thought one of those would ever show up, s'pose only in Japan, what with their love of Bimotas...
You still needing a rear shock? I have a source of NOS Ohlins that are from Ducati models, various, circa 350 a pop, with remote reservoirs. THey are all dimensioned and thus you can figure if they would fit

Oh and that funny little plastic box is a breather tank for the carbs, straight off a 1991/1992 Ducati 900ss, but you shouldn't need that for the 996 engine

well chuffed, Steve, at securing this item. It was always going to be one of the hardest parts to replicate, even if someone had been willing to loan me an original item to copy.
Will let you know about the Ohlins shocks when I have the subframe in place and some form of swingarm attached.
It has the black plastic bit (which I have to confess I hadn't a clue what it was until you identified it) because the subframe is from a 400cc Tesi.
Shall I throw aforementioned item your way, or in the bin?

not needing one meeself, theres 2 narrow black air lines that come off the Mikuni carbs that feed into it, but probably won'y put mine back on as I've got updated carbs, and won't need mine either Laughing Perhaps you could feed the crankcase breather pipe into it from the back of the rear cylinder as Duc engines normally have these under the seat also, or just fit a crankcase breather filter like me and Nige did on the Db2/Db4

Just like these babies, cheaper than the rubber hose you'd need, and a bit of added bling also

The sub frame you have bought is from the 400 version. There was a genuine Tesi wrecked on there last week but it was very expensive. The body is still there though.
