Surprised you didn't do it 3 weeks ago, I know it was still insured with another at the time you renewed the others with FJ, but if you asked, that 37 squid includes 20 squid admin fee for changing the policy.

I had similar, 2 bikes not insured with them expiring in a few weeks after the renewal of the FJ policay for the other bikes, and I knew about the 20squid admin fee so I simply added them on earlier.

it's illegal to insure one vehicle more than once. I'm surprised they didn't pick up on it as the inurance database would probably flag it up now

Only illegal to claim off both insurances, never an issue when they are entering the details themselves for the first time. believe me, I know Insurance. One insurance policy may only cover a certain value and the second one kicks in for the reamining value, you can have as many policies as you like, as for life insurance etc. Only when theres an accident or theft can you not claim for the same loss from the 2 policies.

Besides for the sake if the remaining 2 weeks or so you could have cancelled the old insurance, for that they don't charge an Admin fee. Was just meant as an aide for the future and others, to add a bike is peanuts, but the admin charge is often more than the extra premium, whereas on a new policy at renewal time, no admin charges
