It will be a real shame not to ride this after all your work Waggy.
This will probably be one of the most 'sorted' Tesis around. _________________ Bimota DB2 tricolore, Bimota YB4e.i, Ducati 851 tricolore, Ducati Hailwood Replica, 1968 Gitan Grillo sport, Yamaha GTS1000, Honda Deauville, Honda GB500 Clubman

Well old injuries may force me to hang up the leathers soon enough, getting to be an old dog now Still, restoring bikes is still great fun. |

Not sure about that oily, I offered my brothers and mates a spin on the Tesi and they all refused! this old dog will be keeping his pups for his pension fund and guarding them with a rather large bone |

some people just don't understand about these things
and Oily, if you read between the lines (my last post) that was a very polite and subtle way of saying 'Let me take care of it for you'
great pictures Waggy. _________________ Bimota DB2 tricolore, Bimota YB4e.i, Ducati 851 tricolore, Ducati Hailwood Replica, 1968 Gitan Grillo sport, Yamaha GTS1000, Honda Deauville, Honda GB500 Clubman

Front wheel finally on. Had a problem getting new air filter, FIAAM PA7096, FRAM CA5398, UFI 3099500 etc couldn't get anywhere, even opie oils couldn't sort me out. But found a Baldwin filter PA4979 is a match.
Also got oil cooler guard from cox racing, they sell them for ducati's, but fits fine.

Waggy,
did you have to remove the paint from the inside of the front axle clamps? Also, did you simply clean your alloy plates or use some other means to bring them up?

hi ian, the alloys were just cleaned with lots of wd40 and a good brush and then polished with muc-off miracle shine. No need to remove paint on clamps, it was sparingly applied on bearing face.

it's looking excellent waggy.....
After spending a few hours at the bike museum yesterday, your restoration is easily as good as theirs and infinitely more interesting _________________ SB6 mk1 (project mega light, big bore)

Waggy, I have been following your posts and looking at my 3D whilst comparing the pics on my ipad. Very interesting indeed.
I finally got around to straightening up the clip-on bars on my 3D - your photos on another thread showing the taper was helpful. They sit almost horizontal now, 920 cm from the middle of the handlebar to the ground perpendicularly. The change of riding position is immense. Much more comfortable, neck is not strained, wrists are not compressed but the mirrors still sucks.
I have a set of black rims as well for spares which I have yet to use. However the gold set looks much better.
Anyhow, I thought you might like to see a shot from my Go Pro.
