I used gsxr1100 units like Oily's. standard H4 bulbs and relays from vehicle wiring products.
I did have them wired straight in but it started to burn the wires. _________________ Don't read everything you believe |

Here's something I've been meaning to do for a while and with the new SB6 having a broken headlight lens......
...A special pair of headlights. H4 bulbs from the factory but a broken lens.....
...carefully (very) remove the remains of the broken lens...
...with huge amounts of heat from a hair drier to soften the glue...
and then find a compatible lens, in this case from another Bimota headlight with one smashed lens.....
...different bulbs and holders...
...removing a complete lens without breaking it is much more difficult and fraught with burnt fingers....but possible.....
now all thats required is to glue in the new lens...
...for a pair of H4 headlights

Yes - I've got a pair of gix lamps in a mounted in a plate.
I think it's the shape of the plastic lamps that's the problem _________________ Don't read everything you believe |

...that may be your problem...plastic.
All the SB6 lights I've played with have glass lenses.
They all benefit from a clean inside and out occasionally

..Hard to tell...
They look like H4's already in there, need to see the back of the lights really, they wouldn't have been H4's originally but looks like some body's had a mess with them.
you've got a fair decent repair to those damaged lights _________________ SB6 mk1 (project mega light, big bore)

Strange how Bimota's have a tendency to do that
Do what I do.....when one requires maintenance/repair....ride another one

Only know of one other down here in NZ, and given that you buy all the others up their not to many more are coming down
Plan to do it once, get it right, then just ride it ...... as much as I can _________________ Hursty from kiwi land |

I'm buying them all, waiting for a kiwi to make me an offer so I can stick them in a container and send them all to NZ, then I'll be able to sleep at night knowing I've done my bit for the motorcycle advancement of kiwi's
As for your "plan"....there's an old saying which is very apt for Bimota's...
Men plan...God laughs
