On page one of this post is a link to an old ebay advert in the UK version of ebay..that hopefully will still hold and give you the sellers name on ebay that you can contact in Germany that makes frame plates for Bimotas...took me an eternity to dig this one out....

Bims you are SUPER!
I wrote the German site an e-mail and he responded immediately that they were still available (€ 40 a piece - roughly £ 34 + P&P).
Well needles to say I ordered a couple (you never know).
Now the next question comes around the corner: what number should I use?
My frame number is *536190*, so I can punch in the numbers: 00190 or 636190 ......
But to be honest the tag has only space for 5 numbers.
Hey but I'm over the moon that I have my missing tag!

| Hi Frank, Glad you have found a tag, thanks for the offer but i will leave mine tag free. Not sure what you should stamp on the tag, maybe bimotanige can say what is on his SB. Though imagine it should match whats on the headstock. |

Glad to help Frank....lots of Folk on here always willing to help to keep these beauties on the road ...all you need now is a letter punch kit...plenty of those around as on here...ask BimotaNige to measure up his letters for you so you can get the right size

If its needed for registering in your country, I'd go for the same number as on the headstock to avoid any potential trouble....not such an issue here in the UK...any number anywhere is what they are interested in..and when over 10 years old anyway...they dont check...just ask you to submit frame nos by post for new registration documents...
You should be able to get 6 Nos in there..the frame plates come "flat" to make it easy for stamping....and then they are ally so easy to bend round the frame tube and rivet back in place...there will be space to put the SB4 in a couple of locations and the Max permissible Mass and the engine cc size also...best of luck |

Hi Frank,
I have an SB4, frame number is on a tag on the lower frame and mine is simply SB4*0054. Nothing stamped into headstock from memory and far different from the engine number.

Number in the headstock is difficult to see (and read), specially due to the thick powdercoat but it is there.
Will wait for Nigels picture.

my country France needs also a Vin plate excepted have some bikes (merican K triples) without and no troubles at all.

Maybe better to get the number engraved instead of stamping.
Sometimes stamping can deform the plate.
Engraving will be much cleaner
