This is really excellent collection... And all bikes are in top condition which takes a lot of time and energy... Congratulations! You should start to take entrance fee for organising tours.
But if you will be faced with tough situation that another Bimota is coming... ditch the KTM

Umm yeah, i just re-read my post and it does read a little funny. No track day for the VTX . The only one loaded up for the track day was the sb6. In fact the only time i've ever ridden around the great Phillip Island circuit WAS on the VTX, at the end of the Barry Sheene tribute ride from Bairnsdale to P.I on the Thursday before the GP.

You can place some in your living room. Bimota’s aren’t just motorbikes it’s also art.

Cheers CNC....and it has been considered to let the KTm go....doesnt turn a wheel for 8 months of the year....but is normally the only bike that gets used for the other 4 winter months when theres wet weather, salt etc etc...so gives me a biking kick all year round...... |

Hello mike...you;ve been in hibernation and hiding almost as long as Monty the cat has...what you been up to? Finishing the Db1S hopefully? Perhaps riding a few others from the stable??? |

Hi Steve,
well, now and again my attention starts to wander.....about thirty years ago I had a little Honda VT250 and it wasn't until I gave it away about ten years ago that I realised how good it was. So... about six weeks ago I bought a VTZ off ebay and had a lot of fun with that but I still wanted the VT250F type that I had before, so I bought one of those too!
14,000 rpm redline, 8,000 rpm at sixty! The black one (VT250F) had a death rattle from the rear cylinder which was fixed by stoning the spring guide on the rear cam chain tensioner and since then I've been thrashing it silly.
Meanwhile... I'm waiting for good weather again so I can get on with spraying the DB1SR fairing and finding some RS stickers.

Waiting for good weather again? Didnt we have enough of that last year when you were at the same stage Mike?
But then the issue is if theres good weather and free time...might as well be riding and enjoying yourself....so dont blame you really
Tell Monty to stay in hiding....theres a lurker on here that came to the Mcr show this year and sat on my DB1...and has been round also for a closer look with her clothes off...the bike that is...not the lurker....and he's set himself the task of tracking down and buying a Db1.......... |

Sorry to announce, although I'm sure Mike will retell...but "Monty" is actually a cat....one that I was looking to kidnap to try and get Mike to sell me his DB1 way back when I was looking for one.......hence its in hibernation and rarely comes out.........think that goes for the cat and the Db1SR........
Sad for the cat though now that theres another person looking for a Db1......
I have pictures of the cat available....but at a high price....... |

Oh Dear!
sounds like Monty's going wandering incognito again! Actually, at the moment she can't be bothered to raise an eyebrow unless there's food in the offing. I'll have to dye her fur and give her false whiskers...
Yep, the DB1's taking a long time but I haven't been able to find a suitable set of crankcases (the original set had been bodge welded after the chain snapped, from the look of it) and I'm in no great rush. Besides, I'm also restoring an XL175 Honda, A KE125 kawasaki and a 250 MZ ES250 (and the two VTs) at the moment, and maintaining a 20 year old at uni, so there's no hurry! The Deeber has Paso cases fitted and it's on it's wheels again so it's coming along slowly. Meanwhile Steve seems to be cornering the market in desirable Deebers.....
