Hello,
they do have the correct indicators but they're about £70 a pop by the time you've added VAT etc. so I decided to use a set of old CEVs which were about the right shape, as there's less worry if the bike falls off that **!!**! sidestand!
The Paso bottom end I'm using didn't have the oil feed connectors on the front left side of the engine, which I needed, and they had the upper one and the sender connectors, so I'm trying to make the lower one out of alloy.
Hope you and your bikes are all well, Monty sends her regards,
Cheers, Mike |

Is that truly 70 GBP a piece...and not Euros??? so close on 300 squid for a full set......yeh...considering the side stand...and that my DB1 lives against the wall...maybe not....
Glad to hear that Monty and your Db1 are both doing well....although there is a 3rd Db1 owner in the UK now.....a fellow that sat on mine at the show last year and ended up importing one from Canada thats now arrived...and he came to the show again this year....so getting quite common now...and Monty can relax.... |

Hello,
yes, it was 378 Euros for the four overall, so pretty expensive. Monty has breathed a sigh of relief....

Is it this sort of thing you're looking for? Dont quote me on the sizes, pitch, gauge etc....but there are companies out there that make the connecters

Not a problem Paolo.....I would love a set for My Bimota Db1....short fronts and long rears....and Yes I realise they are very rare as i have searched for 2 years and found none. I will have to save up first though for such an expense......I am sure they are worth the money, and we arent complaining...well...not too much....to have the chance to buy such parts when no-one else has them is a bonus.... |

Hello 2Bims,
thanks for the tip but the oil connectors on the DB1 are a bit more complicated, compared to the Ducati original. Those fittings look pretty spiffy anodised, though.
Cheers, MikeJ
P.S. Paolo, I'm not really complaining about the price of the Bimota indicators, just that they could be damaged easily if the bike falls over. |

I bought a full set of indicators for my DB1 several years ago from Loudbike who I think are located in Canada. They were dear but not exorbitant. Just tried their site which referred you to their Ebay store however that had a message that the store did not exist.
I also bought 2 pairs of the California mirrors from a German supplier through Ebay for a very reasonable price. _________________ DB1S, '74 Ducati 750S, '83 Pantah 600, '03 ST2, '84 R100RS, '83 R65LS, 1914 Triumph 500, '69 Trident, '49 Panther 600, '53 Panther 600, '58 Triumph racing s/car, Honda 600 F2 s/car, '57 Triumph 6T s/car, '12 Suzuki 1250 s/car, Yam SR250 |

I remember the LoudBike indicators from Canada also...maybe they were cheap early on...but they rose to similar price as BCP ltd...and then he only had 2 left...then one...then none...phew...so I didnt have to but any then....we also get stuck on heavy postage, Tax and import duty from the states.... |

I agree 2bims... Postage from US to Aus is very expensive too. Even more expensive than from Europe to here. Makes it an expensive exersize sourcing parts. And then there's the exchange rate _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

I've just got some parts for my project from Paolo, and I'm well happy. I can't fault the guy, or his service. Quicker than the Bimota Importer here. _________________ If I don't force my opinion onto others; I expect the same from them! |
