I need to move on form that space now Brian, glad those pictures are now lost on the previous page
Anyway , moving on , pictures of my spare db4 frame and yes, no coil holes.
But then it did come with a twin seat frame so maybe the inj bikes had ancillaries in different places. |

Wow, I wish I had a spare frame..... Only have a spare swingarm.....
To the Bimota owner in Poland: do NOT drill and try to tap the holes in the frame! These are all M6 coil inserts! A good car body repair shop will have them with the fixing tools to borrow.
Just 2 holes left and right inner side for the ignition coils, but you could also fit he coils elsewhere, like in the triangle behind the headstock. Depending on if you're using the original air box or not.
Battery tray is fitted to the welded nuts in the rear subframe.
Just send some pictures of your bike/parts. Can the damaged frame be not of help? _________________ Track riding on a Bimota: FUN! |

Have the swing arm also,
Might also have a few other models frames Maybe, depends who is asking
You never know when spares will come in handy.
Always mean to get a few out as display items for the Manchester show, but never managed it yet as can't work out a way to display them. |

I have another huge problem there is a bar in the frame. I have a carburator version of my DB4 and becouse of that bar the airbox doesn't fit! It looks like bimota classic parts sold me a wrong frame! ;/ |

It would really help if you provided some pictures of the frame and bike etc....as otherwise everyone is just guessing what you have....put them on the FOrum and then we can all decide what you have |

Strange, The bar is the same as on mine. I did remove the air box and have fitted conical K&N pod filters. The air box eats power....... Was your db4 may be originally a Mantra (db3)? My air box looks different, I don't have the round hole in the underside....
Please send a picture of the whole frame from the side. You can identify a DB3 frame from an DB4 frame by looking at the frame lugs for the rear subframe. _________________ Track riding on a Bimota: FUN! |

I to have the cross bar on mine, but also have flatsides and cone filters, so can't remember what the original air box looks like.
As deebee says a picture of the seat frame mounts will clear things up, but I have had a look on BCP site and he lists the frame for db3-4, with a db3 picture.Hopefully this is a mistake on the website.

The DB4 series frames had two different part numbers. One for the carbureted single seat version and the other for the fuel injected Two seater. I know the air boxes are completely different, so possibly the frames are slightly different. _________________ 2002 Cannondale E440

Could well be. I can measure up my frame, now the plastic are taken off and hanging on the wall. Need to do some maintenance for the next season.
So let's define some measuring points like i.e. headstock - profile between the two sides.
Thai will give some clarification. _________________ Track riding on a Bimota: FUN! |
