Some more Bimota memorabilia turned up in the mail today. Thanks for the awesome packaging 2bims, it arrived safe and sound. Although I was uttering unpleasantries when trying to get into it

I have a framed DB1 poster. My mate imported Bimotas during the mid 1980s. When I saw the DB1 it was love at first sight. He offered me a special deal on a DB1 but with a young family, a single income, a modest wage and my wife & I both racing I just could not afford it. He gave me the poster which I framed & hung in a prominent location in our loungeroom. Each time my wife asked me if I needed anything at the shops, I would reply, 'Yes please. A DB1.' I would also sneak a DB1 onto her weekly grocery shopping list. I didn't relent and after many years and a better financial situation she said, 'If you can find one, buy it.' I found two and bought the better one; a low mileage example modified to DB1S specs complete with decals by the importer. _________________ DB1S, '74 Ducati 750S, '83 Pantah 600, '03 ST2, '84 R100RS, '83 R65LS, 1914 Triumph 500, '69 Trident, '49 Panther 600, '53 Panther 600, '58 Triumph racing s/car, Honda 600 F2 s/car, '57 Triumph 6T s/car, '12 Suzuki 1250 s/car, Yam SR250 |

It would be nice, but I suspect the mini db1 would be WAY out of my budget. Maybe you can post a pic in this thread when you sell a kidney and buy a mini db1 Steve _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

Maybe you can make use of the metal brackets i put on the cotton banner....its what I rigged up when we used the sign at the Mcr Bike show....the pvc one also can be "ironed" out flat with the careful use of a hairdrier....and whilst I doubt that you have need of one for your head...I'm sure the mrs will allow a temporary use of hers....... |

Me, far too much.
Each time I bought a Bimota, I asked for a flag......... I know....... anyhow rather than take the one down from the mast they went inside and brought one out to me.
I also have a genuine Bimota dealers sign complete with fluorescent light inside. Along with many other "gifts", from the factory.
I know I am lucky! |

One of the banners has a place in the shed. No room for the big banner until I have more walls
