IMHO...I doubt that they'll get round to making that many...but I've been wrong before......lets face it...Bimota made some models with smaller production runs and still struggled to sell...and like most people...my purchase was 95% driven by having a full size DB1 that will be complemented by a mini-me...and it will look good at the Mcr bike show each year.....Bimota made some 669 DB1's with just 453 being DB1's the others being S and SR versions labelled differently...but then thi is a "race version" with blanked out headlight and vent under for high level oil cooler so who knows....theres only some 50 odd full time DB1 owners listed on the Swiss Bimota register and even being "kind" I reckon that only 10% or less or less ageist enough to be on Forums and Facebook, computer savvy wise, to even know that they are for sale.
Its supposed to be listed in the New Bimota "apparel" brochure....but seeing as I am still awaiting an answer from Bimota (6 years and counting since I first tried) I just dont think enough people will know of its existence..
Add in Bimota dealers that may buy one...I think thats 20 tops....it could be an even more Ltd Edition run than they are suggesting..... |

Another Mini DB1 is heading towards the Manchester area to join a full size model! Don't know how I can break the news to the girlfriend, she doesn't yet know about the 97 Ducati 900SS that turned up on Monday _________________ Bimota DB1, Bimota YB5, Bimota YB6 Exup, Bimota YB9 SR, Ducati NCR Replica, Moto Guzzi 750 S3, Honda CR750 race replica, Seeley-Suzuki TR500 |

Nice work Paul. You might as well go all in now and try to find a Tesi as well _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

That won't wash 2bims, she used to work in IT! The 'it's an investment' line has worked so far, I just think I'm stretching it a bit at the moment _________________ Bimota DB1, Bimota YB5, Bimota YB6 Exup, Bimota YB9 SR, Ducati NCR Replica, Moto Guzzi 750 S3, Honda CR750 race replica, Seeley-Suzuki TR500 |
