Sigh, it's craft not art |
Artisan - a worker in a skilled trade, especially one that involves making things by hand.
But I catch your drift....Art in Motion is how they should be thought of...as in used....only then can the true art become clear........Sad to say though that perhaps Bimotas are the number 1 brand for being bought as art....and merely parked up and admired |

Thank you all for your advice.
I have set what I think is a fair price, offers over £10k GBP.
Which I think is great value for money considering other bikes currently on offer.
SB3 £14k, V due £20k and YB11 £7k.
Let us see what happens |
Its fair to say that the "tamburini" era bikes fetch the best prices compared to their initial sale price....only other exception being the Db1....but then thats known as the first all Italian Bimota.....and theres the added "ducati" element that drives prices also.
Vdues at 20K?....still cheap in my opinion compared to RG500/RD500's....and still less than the purchase price in 1997 in todays money.....as far as smiles per mile go its Vdue all the way for me....Had a 20 year old student ask me about mine the other day...he knew it was a Vdue...and a Bimota.....and that it was "awesome".....he felt just priveleged to have seen one in the flesh.....which considering he was only one year old when they came out shows their notoriety.... |

All it takes is just one person. As the saying goes, there's an ass for every seat. The biggest obstacle in selling a Bimota is the relative mass ignorance of the brand. However, it plays both ways - the person going to see your bike will know exactly what it is. You will avoid all the rice rocketeers who will try to mooch the bike off you just because "there is another one for much less, but I like yours better". Urgh... Advertising is your friend. Try to get it into as many publications as possible.
I am currently selling one of the nicest BMW R100 GS airheads within hundreds of miles of me. I do get offers close to what I would take but in the end I decide to stay strong. Wishing the same onto you. GLWS. _________________ 1991 Bimota YB10
