I had a great weekend racing the Bimota YB8 at the Barry Sheene Festival of Speed at Sydney Motorsport Park last weekend.



We had some fantastic guests including Freddie Spencer, Kevin Schwantz, Jeremy McWilliams, Steve Parrish, Graeme Crosby, Kork Ballington and others. They had matching bikes including an '94 RGV500, RS500, RG500, KR750, KR350, KR250.....

I had 18 races over the weekend on the YB8 and my TZ250A and finished 15th overall in the four Fastest 50 Feature Races. This was 3 spots behind Cam Donald and only 11 behind Kevin Schwantz The Bimota went perfectly all weekend except for one race where the fuel pump died. A tap with a hammer soon had that fixed.



Chas Hern was the overall winner of the Fastest 50 Feature Races. He was flying on the beautiful Bimota YB5. It was Chas' first time on a historic bike so that makes the result even more awesome.





We lined up the two Bims at the end of the weekend for a photo opportunity. They instantly drew a crowd of photographers.



So we thought we'd make it look cool and threw on some Bimota shirts. Go Team Bimota!



Chas works for the Australian Bimota importer so I scored an exclusive T Shirt. How cool is that? Thanks mate.
