|
|
Hey I'm franz from Germany. I've bought a Yb9 Bellaria for Race use and now I'm searching for wheels of other bikes that could be used in that bike because the original Oscam wheels are really hard to find and if you find them they are really expensive.
It would be nice if anyone would know something.
Thanks Franz |

Hi Franz, welcome to the forum. The YB9 should be a great race bike I recon. What wheels has yours got on it now?
Cheers

The Bellaria ... ? wasn't that the FZR600 3HE engine ?
I've seen the YB9 SR and SR1 rolling on Marchesini hollow 3 spoke wheels - so look at Laverda and better quality Ducati

Be aware the twin Laverda has the chain on the right not the left.

Expensive for an ex race wheel but it's a 5.0" which will suit a 160 profile rear _________________ Don't read everything you believe |

Thanks for your answers.
Yes, the Bellaria has got the 3he engine. And there are 3 spoke Oscam wheels in 3,5" and 4,5" installed.
I own a YB9 SRI too and there are marchesini wheels in but the back wheel is wider than the one of the Bellaria.

Does anyone know whether the front wheels of the yb4 or others are similar. I saw these are Oscam ones too. |

Do they have to be oscam - those sizes are similar to the FZR400RR 3tj. Those wheels are expendive but not that easy to find.
The front disc bolt pattern is the same as the Ducati _________________ Don't read everything you believe |

I have a set of Oscam wheels off a db-2 that should be the same that I could sell. These are the same basic wheels that are used on the yb-6, yb-6 exup and some yb-8’s.

The larger YB bikes use a 180 rear tyre so probably a wider rim.
Do you need to stick to the standard wheels for the rules of the series you are racing in? If not would the budget stretch to some Dymags?
All the best

YB4-6 wheels at the front would be similar. I'm just guessing, but the only difference you would probably find is bearing ID which more than likely could be changed. Rear wheel on YB4- YB11 is 5.5 inch. fronts are 3.5 inches. |
